賢劫

(賢劫, 贤劫)

Bhadrakalpa, the present period; the last was [lang id =1028]莊嚴劫 the next is to be [lang id =1028]星宿劫 A Bhadrakalpa has 1,000 Buddhas, hence its name 'the good (sa) kalpa', also called [lang id =1028]善劫. There are varied statements in regard to the thousand Buddhas, and variety as to their names. Śākyamuni is the fourth of the present (sa) kalpa, Maitreya is to follow and 995 to succeed him.' 過去的大劫叫莊嚴劫， 未來的大劫叫星宿劫， 賢劫即現在的大劫， 因在此賢劫中， 有一千尊佛出世， 故稱為賢劫， 又名善劫。
